Former Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that the party’s decision should be respected. He urged the workers not to protest by pouring petrol or kerosene. He said that differences should be expressed within the party in an appropriate manner. The administration tried all night
The District Magistrate said that the administration tried throughout the night to convince the protesters to remove the jam peacefully. However, when talks failed, the protesters resorted to stone pelting, following which the police had to use tear gas. Tried to spoil the normal situation in the city
Wankhede said that instead of lathicharge, the administration resorted to talks and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Datia Superintendent of Police Mayur Khandelwal said that more than 3,000 protesters tried to disturb the normal situation in the city by blocking the highway and closing the markets.
He said, “The collector and I repeatedly asked them to leave and end the ‘chakka jam’. At around 4 in the morning, they suddenly threw stones at the police. The police fired tear gas shells, after which the stone pelting intensified.”
