Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi made several big statements in the meeting of the Minority Advisory Committee on Saturday at Indira Bhawan, the Congress headquarters in Delhi. He said that PM Modi’s departure is certain within a year. Increasing dissatisfaction due to the economic situation at the international level will be the reason for this. Rahul Gandhi said that the predictions he had made till date had proved correct, this time also what he said would come true.
Meanwhile, in the meeting, some leaders appealed to use the word minority instead of Muslim, on which Rahul Gandhi disagreed and said why be afraid, we have to stand openly with the class which is facing injustice. Be it Hindu, Dalit, upper caste, Muslim, Sikh, Christian or Buddhist-Jain. Congress will openly stand with any of these, against whomever injustice is done. There should be nothing to fear in this.
During this meeting, some leaders said that to deal with BJP’s Hindu-Muslim politics, politics will have to be based on economic issues. Congress has fought against BJP and RSS in the past using this strategy. Rahul agreed to this.
Some leaders complained to Rahul
Some leaders told Rahul in a complaining tone that you raise the issues of minorities, but other big leaders abstain. Therefore, other leaders should also be asked to follow Rahul Gandhi. For this meeting that lasted for more than two hours, Congress Minority Department Chairman Imran Pratapgarhi had invited not only Muslims but also Sikhs (Gurdeep Sappal), Christians (Hibi Eden), Buddhists (Rajendra Pal Gautam) along with Jain community. An interesting incident was also seen during the meeting. In fact, when senior lawyer and MP from Jainism Abhishek Manu Singhvi was introduced in the meeting, even Rahul himself was shocked while laughing.
Listened and understood the leaders of minority community
Minority Department Chairman Imran Pratapgarhi posted on X regarding the meeting and wrote, Long conversation of Minority Advisory Council members with Leader of Opposition @RahulGandhi with open heart and open thoughts.
