
Terrorists in Pakistan are killing more than two soldiers on an average every day. This has been revealed in a report from Pakistan. According to the report released by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), terrorists killed 68 soldiers in the month of May. During this period, 71 civilians also lost their lives. At the same time, 37 soldiers were injured in the terrorist attacks in May.
This report regarding the army has come out at a time when Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir had recently claimed to break the back of terrorists on the basis of intelligence information.
According to the report, the terrorists, who remained relatively calm in March and April, again intensified violence in May. A total of 128 terrorist attacks were recorded across Pakistan. During this period, terrorists also carried out four suicide attacks.
Most terrorist attacks in Balochistan
In May 2026, Balochistan emerged as the province most affected by terrorism. 71 terrorist attacks were recorded in this province, whereas in April the number was 34. If seen in percentage terms, it shows an increase of 109 percent. After this, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the capital Islamabad have been affected by terrorist attacks.
Terrorists have carried out the maximum number of kidnapping incidents in Balochistan. A total of 54 incidents of kidnapping were recorded across the country in the month of May, out of which 52 incidents took place in Balochistan alone.
270 terrorists killed in retaliatory attack
On the other hand, the Pakistani Army has claimed that it killed 270 terrorists in the month of May during retaliatory operations. According to PICSS records, during this period, security forces killed 270 terrorists and arrested 15 others. At the same time, some terrorists also surrendered.
According to the report, maximum 128 terrorists were killed in East FATA region. Apart from this, 62 terrorists were killed in other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 71 in Balochistan. A terrorist was killed in retaliation by security forces in Punjab province.
Dangerous terrorist organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Balochistan Liberation Army and Al-Qaeda are active in Pakistan. Recently, Army Chief Asim Munir had announced to eliminate these terrorist organizations from Pakistan.
