After the IPO of Jio Platforms (JioP), the telecom and digital media company of Reliance Mukesh Ambani Group (RIL), the share of RIL Group in the total market capitalization of companies listed on BSE may increase from the current 4 percent to about 7 percent. Additionally, at the upper end of Jio Platforms’ estimated valuation range, RIL Group will own two of India’s largest companies by market cap, Reliance Industries (market cap Rs 17.7 lakh crore) and JioP (estimated market cap Rs 14 lakh crore). The total market cap of these two companies of RIL group is expected to be around Rs 32 lakh crore. This will be almost equal to the current total market value of HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and ICICI Bank (Rs 33 lakh crore).
