Movement in gold and silver prices again! How much did the price of gold change today, check here

Gold-Silver Price Today: Amidst the ongoing tension between America and Iran and uncertainty in the global market, gold prices are continuously fluctuating. There was a lot of movement in the prices of both gold and silver on Thursday also. The prices of both sometimes rose and sometimes fell amid the possibility of further increase in interest rates by the US Federal Reserve and the expectation of less tension in West Asia.

Condition of gold and silver on MCX

On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for August delivery opened at Rs 1,40,672 per 10 grams, which was Rs 598 (0.42%) less than the previous closing price of Rs 1,41,270.

However, due to increased buying during trading, gold recovered and by 11:38 am, it rose by Rs 719 (0.50%) to reach an intra-day high of Rs 1,41,989 per 10 grams. At the same time, it also slipped to a low of Rs 1,40,543 in the day’s trading.

Talking about silver, the futures price for July delivery opened at Rs 2,10,308 per kg, which was Rs 2,767 (1.30%) less than the previous closing price of Rs 2,13,075.

New Delhi

  • 24 carat: Rs 14,296 per gram
  • 22 carat: Rs 13,106 per gram
  • 18 carat: Rs 10,727 per gram

Mumbai

  • 24 carat: Rs 14,276 per gram
  • 22 carat: Rs 13,086 per gram
  • 18 carat: Rs 10,707 per gram

Chennai

  • 24 carat: Rs 14,510 per gram
  • 22 carat: Rs 13,301 per gram
  • 18 carat: Rs 11,076 per gram

Kolkata

  • 24 carat: Rs 14,276 per gram
  • 22 carat: Rs 13,086 per gram
  • 18 carat: Rs 10,707 per gram

Apart from this, in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kerala also the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 14,276, 22 carat is Rs 13,086 and 18 carat is Rs 10,707 per gram.

On what factors do gold prices depend?

Gold prices in India are not determined solely by the international market. Global gold price, strength of US dollar, crude oil prices and increasing demand during festivals and wedding season in the country also affect its prices. Therefore, changes in the price of gold are seen from time to time.

What is the price of silver today?

Today the price of silver in India is Rs 240.10 per gram and Rs 2,40,100 per kilogram. Silver is definitely cheaper than gold, but its demand remains constant for both investment and jewellery. Along with the global market, industrial demand also has a big impact on silver prices.
