Anger erupted over talks with America
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had to face huge opposition from the people during the last visit of the slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Tehran. In the video surfaced on social media, some people participating in the condolence march are seen raising slogans like “Death to the traitor” and “Shameless”.
It was told that because he led the negotiations on peace talks and ceasefire framework with America, he was targeted by fundamentalists and government supporters. Reminded America of the agreement
Abbas Araghchi described the huge crowd gathered at the funeral of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei as a symbol of the unity and strength of the country. He wrote on Twitter that millions of Iranians came together to pay tribute to their leader and his legacy. He said that neither the Iranian people nor the country’s armed forces are afraid of any threat. Araghchi reminded America of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and said that until the threats stop, negotiations on the final agreement will not begin. He also appealed to America to respect its signatures and promises made.
