
A meeting of senior ministers was held on Wednesday regarding the situation in West Asia, in which recent developments were discussed. In this discussion, the situation of supply of gas and crude oil after the opening of the Strait of Hormuz was discussed and also the situation of supply of natural gas and crude oil was discussed. From Home Minister Amit Shah to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Health Minister JP Nadda and Food Supply Minister Prahlad Joshi were also present in this meeting.
In fact, on Wednesday i.e. today itself, the price of commercial gas cylinders has been reduced and the prices of small cylinders have also been reduced. Apart from this, a private oil company has also reduced the prices of petrol and diesel. In such a situation, what other steps can be taken in the coming time were also discussed in the meeting.
At the same time, on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held a special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) at his residence, in which the measures taken by various ministries and departments were reviewed and further initiatives to be taken regarding the ongoing conflict in West Asia were also discussed.
Authentic information should be delivered to the public on time
PM Modi directed that every possible effort should be made to protect citizens from the effects of the current conflict. He also stressed the need to stop misinformation and rumors and deliver authentic information to the public in a timely and smooth manner. He has also directed all concerned departments to take all possible measures to address the problems of citizens and various sectors affected by the current global situation.
Efforts are being made to stop hoarding of LPG
At the same time, the Cabinet Secretary informed about the steps taken to ensure the supply of petroleum products, especially LNG and LPG and adequate power availability. He said that LPG prices for domestic consumers have remained stable, but anti-illegal selling campaigns are being conducted regularly to stop hoarding and black marketing of LPG. The government said that initiatives have also been taken to expand natural gas (piped) connections by pipeline.
