‘Mayor is not worried about Mumbai, but about Dhaka’… Aditya Thackeray targeted the government

June 24, 2026 by Uma Shankar

Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aditya Thackeray has targeted the government over the chaos caused by rain in Mumbai. During this period, he has also cornered the government on many issues. He said that the new Mayor of Mumbai appears to be more focused on issues like Bangladesh and Dhaka than the fundamental problems of the city.

Aditya Thackeray said that the same projects which were started by our government to overcome the problem of waterlogging in Mumbai, are being taken forward. But many important tasks are still incomplete. Neither the rainy situation is being handled properly nor the problems of the people are reducing. He has also responded to questions related to Delhi tour and Parliament. Aditya Thackeray said that whatever new information comes to light after this evening’s meeting, we will discuss it.

Crime is increasing on the streets, government is not paying attention

Regarding the murder in Mumbai’s local train, Aditya Thackeray said that such incidents are coming to the fore continuously. It seems that neither the Home Minister nor the government is taking this matter seriously. Crime is increasing on the streets and people are being murdered, action should be taken. Let us tell you that an accused has been arrested in the case of murder in a local train in Mumbai. The name of the arrested accused is Roshan Suvarna. The age of the accused is 30 years. The police interrogated the accused’s father strictly, after which the accused’s location was found and then he was caught.

Changing the name of the hospital will do nothing

Aditya Thackeray said that the government is busy changing the name of KEM Hospital. What is more important is to change his situation. The resources, support and facilities that the hospital should get are not available. Instead of changing the name, focus should be on improving health services. But the government is not paying attention to this. The government thinks that by changing the name everything will be fine.

Draft of Uniform Civil Code should be brought out

Aditya Thackeray said that first the draft of Uniform Civil Code should be brought out. After that its merits and demerits and provisions can be discussed. At the same time, the government should also clarify what is its role regarding the actions and raids of investigative agencies in various cases.

What did Thackeray say on the alleged scam in Ram temple and Ujjain?

Answering media questions, Aditya Thackeray said that he also reacted to the alleged scam in Ram Temple and Ujjain. He said that people had given money for the temple of Ramlala with devotion and faith. But BJP is being accused of misusing that money. Now the alleged scam has also come to light in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, which should be investigated impartially.
