Assembly elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh early next year. In such a situation, political turmoil is increasing there. All the major parties are busy setting their own political equations. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Chief Minister Mayawati said that in view of the preparations for the assembly elections, ever since our party has started making people from the upper caste, especially the Brahmin community, the party’s candidates, tension has increased in all the opposition parties including the Samajwadi Party.
Mayawati said in one of her posts on Monday, “Ever since the Bahujan Samaj Party, in view of the preparations for the assembly elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year, has started associating the advanced community, especially the Brahmin community, with the party and making party candidates from among them, there has been an increase in agitation among all the opposition parties. Especially within the Samajwadi Party, restlessness is being seen which is disturbing their sleep.”
2007 victory is going to be achieved this time too: Mayawati
Reminiscing about the period of about two decades ago, the BSP chief said, “Like in 2007, BSP got the opportunity to form a government with full majority due to the contribution of Brahmin community, similarly this time also there seems to be a possibility of the same election result being repeated.”
Ever since the Bahujan Samaj Party, in view of the preparations for the upcoming assembly general elections in Uttar Pradesh, has appealed to the upper caste community and especially the Brahmin community, their B.S.P. Keeping in mind to join the party, I have started making candidates of the party, since then all the opposition parties and especially Samajwadi

“Anyway, it is well known that in a state with a large population like Uttar Pradesh, the interests of the upper castes, especially the Brahmin community, are safe in the BSP only. This party runs on the principle of welfare of all and happiness of all. Taking this policy forward, Bahujan Samaj Party first implemented it at the party level and then even after forming the government, gave them full respect and honor. It has also proved this by giving them full participation at every level. But on the contrary, in the governments of other parties. “People of this class have been feeling neglected, unsafe and cheated for quite some time now.”
Take care not only of Brahmins but other upper castes: Mayawati
He further said, “Keeping in mind the readiness of the Brahmin community to join BSP on the basis of social brotherhood, the process of making party candidates is going on.” Not only Brahmins but also Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and people from other communities from the upper castes will be made candidates on the basis of their preparation to join BSP, i.e. the more prepared they are, the more participation they will make. In this matter, preparations are going on continuously at every level.
He further said, “Like other parties, BSP does not do narrow and selfish politics of giving lollipops to some people. Rather, it considers it as its constitutional duty to worry about the interest and welfare of the entire society.”
