National President of Bahujan Samaj Party Mayawati has intensified organizational preparations for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections of 2027. In the meetings organized by the party, special emphasis is being laid on strengthening the support base among the OBC (Other Backward Class) community and activating the organization up to the booth level.
Mayawati said in her statement that the OBC community had played an important role in forming the first BSP government with full majority in Uttar Pradesh in 2007. The party is now working on a strategy to repeat the same social equation and trust in the 2027 elections. For this, ground preparations, public relations campaigns and organization expansion of the OBC community are being reviewed in meetings organized at various levels.
Mayawati gave instructions to party leaders
The BSP chief directed the party officials to effectively convey the message among the people that BSP is most concerned about the real interests and welfare of the OBC community. He claimed that after trying other parties and their governments, it has been completely proved that BSP’s policies have been most effective for the social, political and economic development of the OBC class.
Mayawati said that just as BSP has done historic work for the upliftment of Dalit society, similarly the party’s contribution in the fight for the development and rights of OBC society has also been remarkable. He has called upon the workers to keep the party’s policies and the works of the previous governments prominent among the OBC community.
BSP working on old formula
Before the 2027 assembly elections, BSP is once again working on a strategy to strengthen its old social alliances. Especially by reviving the Dalit-OBC equation, the party is trying to expand its support base.
