
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen in the 134th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday (31 May). During this, he mentioned the National Senior Athletics Federation competition held in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The PM said that about 800 athletes took part in it and came from all over the country. He said that during this period, four national records were broken in four different events.
PM Modi said that Gurinderveer Singh, Vishal TK, Tejaswin Shankar, Dev Meena and Kuldeep Kumar. These friends created new records in different categories. He congratulated all these players.

He said that within just 2 days the national record in men’s 100 meter race was broken thrice. He said that the two athletes who have shown this feat are Gurinderveer Singh and Animesh Kujur. In the program, PM Modi also mentioned the scorching heat in the country and once again appealed to the countrymen to take precautions. He said that the guidelines issued by the government in this direction should not be forgotten.

The PM said that in our country the way to fight the heat is often found in the kitchen also. At some places the water from the pot comes out, at some places the curd starts solidifying and at some places the raw mangoes start boiling and then the era of desi drinks begins. Along with this, the Prime Minister also mentioned mango. He said that as soon as summer comes, another discussion starts in every house and that is mango. He said that there would hardly be any house in India where there is no talk of mangoes in summer. He said that every region has its own mango, its own taste, its own fragrance.
