After the rebellion in Trinamool Congress, now the fight to capture TMC has started. Who will command TMC, Mamata Banerjee or Ritabrata Banerjee? Politics has intensified regarding this. Ritabrata Banerjee formed a new ‘National Working Committee’ on Monday. However, Mamata Banerjee’s name is not there in it. Arup Roy has been made chairman in his place. Abhishek Banerjee has been fired.
According to sources, Ritabrata Banerjee Today, all the documents related to this new committee were to be submitted to the Commission, but before that, former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sent a letter to the Election Commission.
Mamta Banerjee has sent a letter to the commission with the list of the party’s National Working Committee. That means, the list of who is in the Mamata supporting Trinamool Working Committee has been sent. It is reported that there are 24 names in the list. In this, Mamata Banerjee’s name is as the chairperson, while Abhishek Banerjee’s name is as the All India General Secretary. Incidentally, Abhishek Banerjee was expelled from Trinamool by Ritabrata on Monday.
Mamta Banerjee sent a letter to the Election Commission
Apart from this, in the letter sent by Mamata Banerjee, the names of Dola Sen and Derek O’Brien have been sent as Joint Secretaries, along with Subrata Bakshi as Vice President and Subhasish’s name as Treasurer. Shobhandev Chatterjee’s name is also there. Assembly leader is written in front of it. There is no mention of the Leader of Opposition.
On the other hand, there are names of Derek and Brian, Madan Mitra and other leaders. Political analysts say that the pro-Mamata Trinamool party has gone ahead of Ritabrata’s party by hastily sending a letter to the commission.
Mamta’s counterattack on Ritabrata’s move
Political analyst Shubhamoy Maitra said that this is a matter of the future. There is a constitution, there are laws. However, there are some things which are often not mentioned in the law. In the case of Trinamool Congress, right now the whole matter is about power struggle. How they take power within a political party, some part of that power belongs to them. For example, which way the common Trinamool voter will go has nothing to do with the name or symbol of the party.
The court has to decide on issues which are not related to common people. One more thing, whether Trinamool voters will support Mamata or Ritabrata, this also remains to be seen. In such a situation, till the elections it will not be clear which way the public opinion will go?
Let us tell you that the same picture was seen in parliamentary politics also. Even before the rebel MPs could reach the Speaker, two Trinamool MPs Kirti Azad and Sagarika Ghosh had already sent a letter to the Speaker. This means that it seems that the pro-Mamata Trinamool is proceeding in a ‘legal’ manner in all matters.
