In West Bengal, five PSOs were always deployed for the security of former CM Mamata Banerjee, under an administrative order late last night, those five PSOs were sent back to their units and in their place, four other PSOs were sent for the security of Mamata Banerjee. Mamta refused to accept these new PSOs. Two PSOs named Kusum Dwivedi and Swaroop Goswami are considered very special to Mamata Banerjee.
Whereas in West Bengal, TMC has accused CM Shubhendu Adhikari that he suddenly removed the Personal Security Officers (PSO) of former CM Mamata Banerjee. TMC wrote in a social media post, “A shocking and low level of political vendetta. What are you plotting, Shubhendu?” TMC further wrote in the social media post, “Removing the security personnel deployed for long time under the protection of Mamata Banerjee is not an administrative step, but it is a deliberate move to isolate her and put her in danger. Your passion for revenge politics and misuse of power inspired by the feeling of insecurity clearly shows who you really are. If ‘small politics’ had a face, it would undoubtedly look like you.”
Mamta Banerjee has got Z+ category security. After the change of power in the state, additional security forces and barricades of the state police deployed in and around his residence have recently been removed. But there has been no change in their Z+ security provided by the Central Government.

How many guards in Z plus?
Mamta has 38 guards present in Z Plus. Being a former CM, he will continue to get Z Plus category security. Only after he stepped down from the post of Chief Minister, a large number of state police were deployed near his house and barricades were removed. According to sources, the state police has changed two of its PSOs as part of the administrative reshuffle, the new PSO has been returned by Mamata. The security protocol of every former CM is different and keeps changing depending on the circumstances and threat perception.
