
Thane Police has got another major success in the much talked about TET paper leak case of Maharashtra. In this case, the police has arrested Suman Kumari, wife of the main accused Bijendra Kumar Gupta. Suman Kumari was arrested from Sherpur village of Patna. Due to this action of the police, the investigation of the case has intensified. Bhiwandi police had earlier arrested three accused in the paper leak case. This is the fourth arrest.
According to the information, after her arrest, Suman Kumari was brought from Patna to Bhiwandi. On Tuesday (June 30), he was presented in Bhiwandi court, where the police presented its case in the court. After this, the court ordered to send Suman Kumari to police custody till July 6.
What did the lawyer of the accused party say?
Advocate Shailesh Gaikwad, the lawyer of the accused party, said that the police presented Bijendra Kumar Gupta’s wife Suman Kumari in the court, after which the court sent her to police custody till July 6. He said that his client’s only connection in this case is that being a wife, she had talked to her husband Bijendra Kumar Gupta on mobile phone.
Bijendra Kumar Gupta absconding
According to the information, a team of Thane Police had reached Kumhrar village in Samastipur district of Bihar, where the main accused Bijendra Kumar Gupta was reported to be hiding. However, Bijendra fled from there before the police arrived.
It is being told that the police has arrested his wife Suman Kumari on the basis of call detail records and other technical evidence. The investigating agencies are now busy finding out whether any financial transactions have taken place in this case through the bank accounts of Suman Kumari. And can she help the police in reaching the absconding accused Bijendra Kumar Gupta. At present, the number of accused in the TET paper leak case has increased to four and the police is busy searching for other possible accused in this entire racket.
Question papers were printed in Agra
According to police investigation, the question papers of TET exam were printed in Agra. It is alleged that after removing the question papers from there, they were brought to Maharashtra via Delhi. Many accused have already been arrested in this case, while four other accused who provided the question paper from Agra are still said to be absconding. The police are continuously conducting raids in search of them and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Name also appeared in SSC paper leak case
Investigation has also revealed that Bijendra Gupta’s name had earlier also appeared in the SSC paper leak case of Odisha in the year 2023. He was arrested in that case, but later he got bail from Balasore District Court on certain conditions. Apart from this, he is a wanted accused in many cases.
It is being told that Bijendra Gupta is a resident of Sherpur village of Bihar. According to sources, as soon as they got wind of the action of Thane Police, Bijendra Gupta and his associates had held a secret meeting on Sunday night. At present, four other accused who provided papers from Agra are still absconding. All four of them are hiding in Agra and Thane Police is now busy searching for them.
