Congress leader and AICC in-charge of National Students Union of India (NSUI) Kanhaiya Kumar on Friday attacked BJP and the central government. He said that in the syllabus of Odisha, a scientist was described as a pilot. There are many such mistakes. Whereas in Rajasthan, answer sheet was given instead of question paper in the examination.
He said that the question is how will the country be developed by keeping people uneducated? He asked that when lakhs of people are unemployed in the country, how will India become developed?
Kanhaiya Kumar Said that under the rule of the Prime Minister with a slip, education has been made a ‘product’. Today education is not easy for anyone and those incompetent people who are holding positions are responsible for this. Actually, Modi government’s approach towards education is wrong.
Kanhaiya Kumar attacks paper leak
He said that Narendra Modi had given the phrase – We are not Harvard people, but hard workers. It is because of their hard work that the paper is getting leaked. The matter is clear – the government which ‘steals votes’ will steal papers.
He said that the people sitting in the government do not know the E of Education, they will leave the school like this and will ban Telegram. Kanhaiya Kumar clearly said that strict steps will have to be taken to stop paper leaks. NTA will have to be banned, but PM Modi, who discusses the examination, does not say a word on the paper leak.
He said that today there is no exam whose paper is not being leaked. Now questions are also being raised on exams like UPSC. The reason for all this is the incompetence of the people sitting in the government. The lack of seriousness towards education in the government has turned an important system like education into a joke.
Common man’s trust in education system broken
Kanhaiya Kumar said that Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has clearly said that we do not want to do politics on education, but today every parent is afraid that their child might do something. Children are in severe depression, but not a single BJP leader is saying that NEET exam is being held again. Instead of taking responsibility, they are asking questions to Rahul Gandhi.
He asked whether there is a Congress Party government at the Centre? PM Modi should listen to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi because education is not a matter of politics.
Kanhaiya Kumar said that today the common man has lost faith in the education system. The right to dream has been taken away from the students. The government of the country is picking the pockets of the common people. Modi government has converted education into a product. Unqualified people are being appointed to big positions in the country and when we raise questions, we are accused of doing politics. In such a situation, the question is – Is leaking the paper an act of patriotism?
