Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Australia on Wednesday in the second phase of his three-nation tour. During this visit, he will hold bilateral talks with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese and meet people of the Indian community. Earlier, when PM Modi reached Melbourne, he was welcomed with Maa Tujhe Salaam and Kathak dance.
The Australian-Indian 10-piece symphony orchestra gave a spectacular performance by singing the song ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ to welcome PM Modi in Melbourne. Also, the orchestra played the wonderful tune of the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’. Apart from this, a special fusion music of ‘Didgeridoo’ and Tabla, the ancient instrument developed by the natives of Australia, was presented.

Kathak performance by Australian dancer Sanchita
Apart from ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ and ‘Vande Mataram’, under the leadership of Melbourne city’s famous dancer Sanchita Abrol, a spectacular presentation of Kathak was given to PM Modi and he was given a warm welcome.
Sanchita Abrol’s performance showcased a deep spiritual journey – from ‘Asato Ma Sadgamaya’ to the powerful ‘Shiva Tandava’ (symbolising Lord Shiva’s cosmic dance of creation, destruction and re-creation). Then finally it ended with the chanting of ‘Om Namah Shivay’. PM Modi became emotional after seeing these presentations.
