Hyper-masculine characters being shown in films

Arunoday Singh, in a recent interview given to Hindustan Times, expressed his views about the growing hyper-masculine trend in films and movies. He believes that the job of cinema is not only to entertain but also to inspire the society to think and understand in a better way. He said that it is not easy to convey a serious message through comedy, but this film has done it in an excellent way.

What did Arunoday say about his character?

Actually, in this series, Arunoday Singh has been seen in the role of a sensitive and intelligent police officer Maheshwari. This character is quite different from the domineering and aggressive policemen often seen in Hindi films. This was the reason why Arunoday liked this character. He said that it is not necessary to make every character a Superman. After a certain point everything seems absurd.

The actor said- I feel that excessive hyper-masculine characters are being shown in films, which start looking absurd after a time. It may seem entertaining for a while, but audiences also need to see different forms of masculinity. Maheshwari is a very sweet person and I really enjoyed playing her character.”

Attitude towards women in society

Arunoday said that the attitude towards women in Indian society has been a matter of concern for a long time. In such a situation, if a film not only entertains people but also forces them to think about this issue, then it is a very good thing. He said that he is proud to be a part of this film. He said, “Softness and masculinity are not opposed to each other. Both can co-exist.”
