In this, Yograj Singh, who is playing the character named Fateh Singh in the series, is seen speaking a controversial dialogue about a female police officer. This dialogue was heavily criticized on social media. Subsequently, two lawyers from Chandigarh filed a complaint against Yograj Singh, alleging that the language used in the viral video was inappropriate and harmful to the society.
Anticipatory bail petition rejected
The complainants argued that such content could have a negative impact on young viewers and promote derogatory behavior towards women. After the complaints, Chandigarh Police has started investigating the matter. Punjab Women Commission has also taken cognizance of this matter and has sought a detailed report from the authorities. Amidst the growing controversy, the makers of the web series have said that they have removed the controversial dialogue from the episode. However, legal proceedings against Yograj Singh are ongoing and in today’s court hearing, his anticipatory bail plea has been rejected for the time being.
