15 people died in a fire in the coaching center located in Aliganj in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. While five people are said to be injured. Meanwhile, the initial investigation into the fire has revealed serious negligence. According to eyewitnesses and local people, the main gate of the office of the building was opened through thumb impression (biometric system). After the fire, due to power and system failure, the gate got automatically locked, due to which the people inside could not come out and many people got trapped.
According to initial information, the land on which this building is built is said to be in the name of Virendra Shukla. Whereas the map of the building was passed in the name of Surendra Shukla and Dhirendra Shukla. According to the information, Virendra Shukla is said to be the owner of Rameshwaram Institute of Technology. Investigation revealed that no emergency exit was made in the building, due to which during the fire, people were left with no safe way to get out and they got trapped inside.
Fire system not installed even after commercial
Investigation has revealed that there was no fire safety system in the building, neither fire fighting equipment was present nor necessary arrangements were made to prevent fire. In 2014, the residential map was changed and passed for commercial use, on which questions are now being raised. In such a situation, questions are being raised as to why a fire safety system was not installed when the building was being put into commercial use.
Questions are being raised on Lucknow authority
For a long time, pet shop, library and animation center were being operated in this building, while serious irregularities have come to light regarding the adherence to safety standards. The big question is that how did the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) approve this map against the standards? According to the information, the residential building was given permission for commercial use in 2014.
Action is taken only after the incident, no precaution first
Now there is talk of action regarding Lucknow fire incident. Now the biggest question is whether ignorance of rules, negligence in fire safety and administrative collusion took the lives of 15 people? Now the eyes of the entire state are fixed on the investigation report and action. After all, against which officers will the government take action and how?
