The results of re-polling in Phalta Assembly seat of West Bengal have come today. In this, BJP candidate Debangshu Panda has registered a landslide victory. He got 1 lakh 49 thousand 666 votes. While CPM candidate Shambhu Nath Kurmi got 40 thousand 645 votes. In this way, Panda has defeated him by 1 lakh 9 thousand 21 votes. This seat was with TMC and it is considered to be the stronghold of Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek.
Congress stood third in Phalta seat. Abdur Razzaq Mollah got 10 thousand 84 votes. Whereas TMC candidate Jahangir Khan got only 7 thousand 783 votes. Jahangir had refused to contest the elections even before voting again. Amidst the results of Phalta seat, TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee has given a big statement.
TMC should have got 220 to 230 seats- Mamta
After the results of the assembly elections declared on May 4, Mamata Banerjee came live on Facebook today and expressed her views. Apart from the press conference, Mamata was not seen anywhere in public after the results were declared. This time the Trinamool supremo made many allegations against the BJP government. He claimed that TMC should have got 220 to 230 seats, but the results were reversed.
Mamta said, are these really elections? Or is this just an act? The Election Commission has hacked the data. I and my agent were thrown out. The chance to win was lost. The tables turned on at least 150 seats. We could have got 220 to 230 seats. There is no fault of the public in this. No state can run like this.
