Kainchi Dham Foundation Day: The 62nd foundation day of Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj, the holy abode of Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj, who is a great devotee of Hanuman ji and is adored by crores of devotees in India and abroad, is being celebrated in a very grand and divine form on Monday. On this auspicious occasion, such a huge crowd of people of faith gathered for the darshan of Baba, which broke all the previous records of security and order. On the occasion of the Foundation Day, the idol of Hanuman ji established by Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj was worshiped as per the rituals in Brahmamuhurta on Monday morning.
After this, Akhand Paath started and the doors of the temple were opened for common devotees. The faith of the devotees towards Baba was so much that the devotees were standing on the roadside and surrounding areas since Sunday night. 2 kilometer long queues started forming outside the temple from 3 am on Monday morning.
Record number of devotees reached till afternoon, Mahaprasad of Malpua distributed
According to administrative data, till 11 am in the morning, more than 45 thousand devotees had had darshan of Baba Neeb Karori Maharaj. By afternoon this number kept increasing rapidly. This year, more than two lakh devotees are expected to attend the fair. The world famous Malpua Prasad of Kainchi Dham is being distributed to every devotee visiting the temple, due to which the entire Shipra valley is seen drenched in devotional atmosphere.
Drones keep an eye on every nook and corner, more than 1500 security personnel deployed
Seeing this historical pressure of the crowd, Nainital SSP Manjunath TC said that a three-tier security cordon has been prepared for the safety of Kainchi Dham. 3 SP/SSP, 7 Additional SP and 14 CO along with more than 1500 policemen have been deployed for security arrangements. Apart from this, teams of LIU, BDS, SDRF, ATS and SSB are also ready. Every nook and corner is being monitored through drone cameras and every activity is being closely monitored from the control room built in the temple premises.
Shuttle buses started, but devotees troubled by lack of washroom
Nainital DM Lalit Mohan Rayal said that for easy movement of devotees, special shuttle bus services are being operated from Nainital, Bhimtal, Haldwani, Bhawali, Kathgodam and Khairna. There has been a complete ban on entry of private vehicles towards the Dham.
Due to opening of Bhawali bypass, passengers going to Almora and Ranikhet have been diverted to Ratighat route, yet there was heavy pressure of vehicles on Bhimtal and Haldwani routes since morning and long jams were seen. Along with this, the devotees who arrived in such a large number also had to face the lack of basic facilities like washrooms in the Dham area.
What is the history of Kainchi Dham?
Baba Neem Karauli Maharaj came to Kainchi, this quiet mountain village situated on the banks of Shipra river, for the first time in the year 1961. Impressed by the peaceful environment and spiritual consciousness here, Baba consecrated the idol of Hanuman ji here on 15 June 1964 and established the ashram. From then till today, every year on 15th June, a huge foundation day fair is organized here. Devotees of Baba believe that Baba is very kind and he knows the thoughts of his devotees and removes the darkness from their lives. This is the reason why today a large number of celebrities and common devotees come here not only from the country but also from abroad.
