Long gone are the days of CCD! ‘Coffee Day Global’ recovers from losses and becomes profitable again, revenue crosses ₹1,094 crore

Coffee Day Global Limited, the company that operates Café Coffee Day, returned to profit in fiscal 2026. The company recorded a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 14 crore, while revenue from operations increased by 5.7 percent to Rs 1,094 crore. According to information provided to the exchange by the company’s parent company, Coffee Day Enterprises Limited (CDEL), the company’s operating profit (EBITDA) increased by 27 percent to Rs 198 crore during this financial year. In comparison, Coffee Day Global had reported revenue of Rs 1,034.63 crore and loss after tax of Rs 175.92 crore in FY25. Vending machine business increased continuously

In the financial year ending March 31, 2026, the company’s Average Daily Sales (ASPD) increased marginally to Rs 21,101 from Rs 21,016 in the previous financial year. However, the number of Café Coffee Day outlets declined to 424 at the end of FY26 from 435 last year, while same store sales growth (SSSG) stood at a negative 1.72 percent. The vending machine business continued to grow. By the end of the fourth quarter of FY2026, the number of machines increased to 55,802, compared to 54,100 in the same period last year.

This is how it became profitable in one year

Parent company, Coffee Day Enterprises Limited, also returned to profit. After incurring a loss of Rs 143.20 crore in the previous financial year, the company reported a PAT of Rs 210.14 crore in FY26. During this financial year the company recorded an operational revenue of Rs 1,154.40 crore. The performance marks a major turnaround for the coffee chain operator, as it focuses on improving profits and expanding its vending machine business, despite a decline in its café network.
