Madhuri Jain Grover, wife of famous businessman Ashneer Grover and contestant of the show, has come under severe attack from trolls for one of her statements. Madhuri shared a secret of her personal life to avoid eviction in the show, but the logic she gave after that, people did not like at all.
Actually, during ‘Judgment Day’ in the show, the contestants had to reveal a big secret of their lives to protect themselves. Madhuri Jain Grover had come in the bottom three. To save himself from elimination, he revealed one regret of his personal life. Madhuri told that she and her husband Ashneer Grover wanted a third child. Her son also repeatedly asked her for a third child.
The secret of not having a third child
Madhuri further said, “There was a ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ thinking in Ashneer’s family. His mother believed that two children were enough, so we came under the pressure of family rules and environment. Later, when we again thought of a third child, it was too late and it was not medically possible.
There was an uproar over the statement of rich and poor
The problem was not with this secret of Madhuri, but the argument she gave after this angered the audience. Madhuri said, “The third child always keeps you young. All the rich people you see, like Shahrukh Khan, have three children. This concept of ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’ does not apply to everyone. If the rich people have children then their wealth will increase, if the poor people will have children then their poverty will increase.”
People vented their anger on social media
As soon as this ‘Rich vs Poor’ video of Madhuri came out, people started surrounding her on social media. One user wrote, “Madhuri Grover should be ashamed of her statement. It shows her arrogance. She measured the value of a person by his bank balance. Do only the rich have the right to have a family?” Another user sarcastically wrote, “Accordingly, middle class and poor people should not have children at all.” Some people also raised questions on the silence of the show’s hosts.
Kangana Ranaut entered the show
Apart from this controversial statement, there was a big twist in the episode when the show’s former host and actress Kangana Ranaut entered as a special guest by becoming the ‘voice of the public’. He gave vigorous classes to the jail prisoners and advised them to improve their game. Meanwhile, amid all the drama, contestant Shrestha Iyer got evicted from the show, making her the first contestant to be evicted from ‘Lockup 2’.
