Ayurveda expert Dr. Kiran Gupta tells that, Eating litchi is considered good for health. But if litchi is eaten in large quantities then there is a risk of increasing blood sugar. Especially if litchi is eaten on an empty stomach. This can cause problems like weakness, headache, dizziness and fatigue. Apart from this, eating too much litchi can also cause problems like stomach ache, gas, diarrhea and allergy.

What is the right way to eat litchi?

According to experts, litchi should be eaten only in limited quantities. You can eat 8 to 10 litchis a day. Also, it is important to wash it thoroughly before eating it. One should avoid eating litchi on an empty stomach and should also give it to children in limited quantities. If litchi is kept in the refrigerator, it is considered better to eat it after bringing it to normal temperature.

Some people should avoid eating litchi or consume it only after consulting a doctor. Diabetic patients, people suffering from low blood sugar and people with allergy problems should eat litchi with caution. Apart from this, people who have digestive problems should also avoid eating too much litchi.
