
After the fire in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held an important meeting on Tuesday. In a special meeting with senior officials, the Chief Minister reviewed the Lucknow fire accident point by point. In this meeting, CM Yogi said that the unfortunate incident in Lucknow is a big lesson for the state. He directed that there should be no compromise on fire safety standards and a special team should be formed in every district and a comprehensive fire safety audit campaign should be conducted.
CM Yogi Said that first awareness should be created and then action should be taken. No citizen should be harassed in the name of the campaign. He said that the buildings are permissible for which activities. The same activity will happen there. Coaching or nursing homes in basements are not acceptable. He said that concrete steps will have to be taken to further reduce the response time of emergency services.
Let us tell you that a total of 15 people have died in the fire that broke out in a two-storey building in Lucknow. On Tuesday morning, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a forensic team reached the spot to investigate the accident.
SIT team investigated the incident site
The team inspected the building, and the SIT, comprising IPS officer Praveen Kumar and IAS officer Amrit Abhijat, collected evidence and left the spot with bags full of items.
The postmortem examination continued for seven hours before the bodies were handed over to their families. Investigation has revealed that the building in which the fire broke out was illegal. An order to demolish it was issued in 2016, but it was later cancelled.
Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar said that a notice has been sent to the building owner and he has been asked to reply within 15 days. He said that the building will be demolished. This building belongs to Virendra Shukla, owner of Rameshwaram Institute of Technology and Management College. Police have registered a case of culpable homicide and arrested four accused including Virendra. Six LDA officials have been suspended.
