A lawyer had filed a complaint against him at Siliguri Cyber Crime Police Station. This time a businessman has filed a complaint against Mamata Banerjee at Hair Stryn Police Station in Kolkata for yet another inflammatory comment.
Mamata Banerjee accused of making inflammatory statements
Earlier this year, Mamata Banerjee was accused of making controversial statements from the stage of Dharmatala during the election campaign. He said from the stage, “You all are fine because we are here. If we were not here, it would have taken a second! When a community does not form an alliance, if they surround it.”
His statement went viral on social media within a moment and politics heated up. Opposition parties questioned the statement of the former CM and said how can anyone make such a statement while holding the post of Chief Minister.

Eventually, a complaint was filed. According to sources, a businessman has lodged this complaint against Mamata Banerjee at Hare Street Police Station. The police have already registered a case and started investigation. Now it remains to be seen whether the police will summon Mamata Banerjee in this case or not?

- BNS – 352 – Inciting to disturb the peace. This section is bailable. If found guilty, there can be a jail term of 2 years.
