Captain will fly straight to England after ODI series
Fatima Sana will lead the team in the ODI series to be held on this tour, which is part of the Women’s Championship. The last match of the ODI series will be played on July 28 in Hambantota. Immediately after this, she will leave for England directly from Sri Lanka and will not be a part of the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka. She will not be able to play for Birmingham Phoenix in the first two matches of ‘The Hundred’ tournament starting from July 21 due to Pakistan’s ODI matches, but after that she will be available in the entire league.
First Pakistani female cricketer in The Hundred
Last month, 24-year-old all-rounder Fatima Sana created history by becoming the first female cricketer from Pakistan to be selected in The Hundred League. Birmingham Phoenix have included her in their team through wildcard draft as a replacement for Australia’s Lucy Hamilton at a base price of 15,000 pounds.
