These days, a case of question paper leak of the country’s biggest medical entrance examination is going on in India. Something similar has happened in the A-level examinations held in Britain, in which Cambridge International Education has canceled many A-level examinations after allegations of Physics and Mathematics papers being leaked online. Due to this, students of many countries including India, Pakistan and UAE are disappointed.
A Levels (Advanced Level examinations) are subject-based qualifications, usually taken by students aged 16-19. This is equivalent to senior secondary/high school education. According to media reports, Physics question papers were leaked on May 20, affecting many students around the world who appeared for the exam through Cambridge International Education.
What did the examination board say?
The affected examination board has reportedly announced that the question papers have been cancelled. The affected students will be given marks based on their performance in other parts of the syllabus. Cambridge International Education Board says that the board has quickly implemented alternative measures for the affected students. Along with this, the Physics paper has been changed for the upcoming examinations.
Investigation into paper leak continues
Investigation into Physics question paper leak is underway. There is also news that mathematics question papers were also leaked in the beginning of this month. Officials say that the Cambridge International AS Level Mathematics paper which was held on April 29 was leaked. Due to it being shared on such a large scale, we cannot use this paper to declare the final exam result. Therefore we are canceling this paper.
Officials alerted students
Earlier it was also reported that one unit of Computer Science exam was also shared at the international level. On May 12, Cambridge International Education had warned students about fake or leaked papers. Especially on social media platforms, WhatsApp groups and online pages.
