
Laila Khan Murder Mystery News: The murder case of Bollywood actress Laila Khan is one of those incidents in the Indian crime world, which shook the entire country. The truth about Laila Khan and her family, who went missing on January 30, 2011, came to light after an 11-month long police investigation, when six skeletons were recovered one by one during the excavation of her farmhouse in Igatpuri. This murder had revealed the layers of dark and dreadful relationships hidden behind the world of glamour.
Laila Khan, whose real name was Reshma Patel, was originally from Pakistan. She came to India to make her mark in Bollywood and was introduced to veteran actor Rajesh Khanna Launched with the film ‘Wafa’ (2008). Although the film could not do much at the box office, Laila got recognition because of this film. The train of his career was running on the track when suddenly one day he and his entire family disappeared from Mumbai.

What happened that night of 30 January 2011?
According to the investigation of Mumbai Police and the confession of Parvez Iqbal Tak, on the night of 30 January 2011 Laila Khanhis mother Celina, elder sister Hashmina, cousin Reshma and his two twin siblings had reached their holiday home in Igatpuri, about 126 km from Mumbai. On February 9, 2011, Laila’s mother Celina spoke to her sister on the phone for the last time. Since then the entire family mysteriously disappeared.
How were the horrifying layers of the murder revealed?
Initially the police considered it a case of kidnapping. Laila’s real father Nadir Shah Patel lodged a missing complaint and his direct suspicion was on Parvez Iqbal Tak, who was the third husband of Laila’s mother Celina. The matter became more serious when director Rakesh Sawant (Rakhi Sawant’s brother) also filed a complaint, because Laila had gone missing in the middle of the shooting of his film.
The direction of the investigation changed when Parvez Iqbal was arrested in another case on 21 June 2012. During strict custodial interrogation, he gave a confession of mass murder in Igatpuri farmhouse.

After Parvez’s confession, the police team reached the farmhouse in Igatpuri, where the family had last gone. When the police started digging there, the shocking truth came to light. There were 6 skeletons buried one after the other inside the ground (inside the swimming pool). Along with these skeletons, jewelery like bangles, bracelets and rings were also found and apart from all this, a phone was also recovered from there, on which calls were received continuously for 2 days after the disappearance. That means the phone was ringing even in the grave.
The police confirmed through forensic investigation and DNA test that these skeletons belonged to Laila Khan and her family. Farmhouse caretaker Asif Shaikh had also supported Parvez in this heinous act.
What was the real reason behind the murder?
According to police interrogation and charge sheet, the reason behind the murder was personal feud and Parvez’s obsession. Parvez told the police that Laila’s mother Celina had made her second husband the power of attorney for all her property. Apart from this, Celina often insulted him. Due to this rivalry he killed Selina. When Laila Khan saw her mother dying, she decided to punish Parvez, after which Parvez killed Laila and the rest of the family members to save his life.
