Kunal Kemmu TV Show Alliance: There was a time when any new reality show used to come in the country, then there was a completely different level of madness among the audience. But now every few months, the same old cliché is served up on TV and OTT screens in the name of a new house, new contestants and new strategies. Prime Video has once again played a new bet in this crowded reality space with its new series ‘Alliance’. In this show, 16 players will be locked in an underground bunker and play the game of friendship and betrayal with each other for 42 days. The interesting thing is that amidst the drama of ‘Lock Up 2′ going on on Netflix, this show of Prime Video is trying its best to woo the audience. After the first three episodes went on-air, the complete profit and loss of this show has been revealed. If we say in just one line, the idea of ’Alliance’ and the structure of the game is completely new and tough, but seeing the attitude of the contestants, you will remember the same old ‘Bigg Boss’ re-wind mode.
These 5 things which were absolutely ‘HIT’ in ‘Alliance’
1. Kunal Khemu’s ‘Cool’ Hosting
The surprise package of this show is actor Kunal Khemu himself. Usually in reality shows, hosts are seen shouting or over-acting excessively, but here Kunal is seen in a completely different and relaxed mood. He has come inside the bunker of the show as the king of ‘Kunal Lok’, who without any unnecessary drama takes a funny dig at the actions of the contestants and keeps the entire atmosphere absolutely chill.
2. Unique format of the game (rotation policy)
The game structure of this show is really new and interesting. Unlike other shows, it will not happen here that the same faces who came on the first day continue to drag till the finale. Whichever player is eliminated in the ‘Alliance’, a new face will be immediately placed in the bunker in his place so that the number of players always remains 16. This move of the makers is new and due to this, the equations inside the bunker will keep changing every moment.
3. Emotional angle of Ravi Kishan and daughter Reeva
The entry of Bhojpuri cinema superstar Ravi Kishan and his daughter Reeva has proved to be a big highpoint in the show. While Ravi Kishan has come with the determination to support his daughter and make her win, Reeva wants to spend more time with her father. The rest of the young contestants are seen scared of Ravi Kishan’s harsh attitude and are also seen as admirers of his stardom. This father-daughter chemistry is quite fun to watch.
4. Old history and new reactions of faces
When Kushal Tandon and Arsalan Goni entered the show in the reels style of “both brothers, both destruction”, the drama meter suddenly increased. The biggest reason for this is the old history of Kushal Tandon. Kushal Tandon’s ex-girlfriend is Gauhar Khan, who is now Zaid Darbar’s wife. When Zaid and Kushal came face to face in the bunker, the strange and uncomfortable reaction on Zaid’s face could not be hidden from the camera. The public was waiting for this spice.
5. Game overshadows loyalty
In the initial episodes itself, instead of swearing on his team and false friendship, a contestant chose the game directly and took a big risk. While the rest of the players were boring us by trying to play safe, this one decision ruined the entire team. Reality shows require such eccentric and unpredictable decisions which can give sleepless nights to the audience.
Miss these 5 things
1. The same tired drama of content
The format of the game may be new, but the behavior of the contestants is age-old. It seems that all the players have come from outside having memorized and fully prepared how to consume the footage as soon as they see the camera. As soon as we stepped inside the bunker, the same old gossip, abuses, false discussions of ‘girl power’ and age-shaming started, which is now becoming very boring.
2. Old veterans getting upset
Initially, both the contestants and the audience were quite excited after seeing the very experienced and old names of TV like Nikhil Chinappa and Mini Mathur. But as soon as the real affair of the game started, both of them lost their air completely. It seems that these old masters are being left behind in making their place in front of the new platoon of social media.
3. Forceful noise of social media stars
Due to the popularity of Payal Dhare (Payal Gaming), there was curiosity about her, but contestants like Dolly Javed and Vanshaj Singh are seen shouting excessively loudly just to appear on the screen. Having a big opinion on every small thing without any reason and immediately judging others turns the pace of the show into a headache instead of making it fun.
4. False and artificial claims of friendship
Zaid Darbar and Daisy Shah’s claim that we understand each other without words or Niti Taylor and Ruhi Dosani repeatedly talking big about their bond seem too artificial and scripted. The audience has now become so intelligent that they clearly understand the difference between real friendship and friendship made for reels made for the camera.
5. The one who sees everyday is missing
Since it is a daily show, there should be a suspense or hook at the end of each episode that compels the viewer to sit in front of the screen again the next day. But even after watching the first three episodes of ‘Alliance’, the real thrill has not been able to enter inside the bunker. The concept of the show is excellent, but currently the madness that makes a show a blockbuster is missing among the contestants.
