According to Drik Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month will start on July 3, 2026 at 11:20 am. This date will end on July 4, 2026 at 12:39 pm. According to Udaya Tithi, the fast of Krishnapingal Sankashti Chaturthi will be observed on 3 July 2026.
What to do on the day of Krishnapingal Sankashti Chaturthi?
On this day, wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean or new clothes and meditate on Lord Ganesha. Clean the worship place thoroughly and install the idol or picture of Lord Ganesha. Offer them Durva, red flowers, vermillion, modak, laddu and fruits. Chanting Ganesh Chalisa or Om Gan Ganapataye Namah mantra with devotion is considered auspicious. If you have observed a fast, then follow restraint and honesty throughout the day. Worship Lord Ganesha again in the evening and after seeing the moon, break the fast by offering Arghya to him. Donating food, clothes or money to needy people as per one’s capacity is also considered auspicious.
What not to do on the day of Krishnapingal Sankashti Chaturthi?
On this day, one should not consume any type of Tamasic food like meat, fish, alcohol or garlic-onion. One should avoid anger, lies, abuses and insulting anyone during the fast. According to religious beliefs, Tulsi Dal is not offered in the worship of Lord Ganesha, hence take special care of this. Avoid unnecessary disputes or discord at home and do not give space to negative thoughts in your mind.
