After this, the victim offers an iron hammer, a copper trident or a brass bell to the Mata Rani as per his devotion and capacity as a thank you. Today there are thousands of small and big hammers in this temple. The culprit gets severe punishment in the court of Kotgadi Devi. Suddenly a mountain of troubles falls on the family of the guilty person. Not only the local people of Uttarakhand, but people from every corner of the country come to the temple.
