Amidst the increasing tension with America and Israel, a similar development has come to light in Iran, which has attracted the attention of the world. More than 60 senior religious leaders of the Assembly of Experts, one of Iran’s most influential religious bodies, have issued a 10-point religious statement. In this, Iranians have been appealed to maintain loyalty to the supreme religious leadership, strengthen Islamic unity and face their opponents. The most controversial thing is that in this statement the assassination of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has also been described as a religious duty.
This statement has come at a time when the situation in Iran is already tense. According to the report, after the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, there is a stir regarding leadership in the country. Meanwhile, some senior religious leaders have appealed to their supporters to support the highest religious system of the country (Wilayat-e-Faqih) under any circumstances and oppose every challenge raised against it. Apart from this, duties like supporting religious leadership, providing economic and social support, following religious orders, spreading awareness among people and remaining united against opponents have also been mentioned. He has called it the religious responsibility of every Muslim.

In the 10 points issued by religious leaders, the first duty has been stated to be to protect the supreme religious leadership. Apart from this, it also includes supporting religious leadership, maintaining Islamic unity, economic and social cooperation, following religious orders, publicity and public awareness, remaining united against opponents and considering it as the religious responsibility of every Muslim. The most discussed point is that the assassination of Trump and Netanyahu has been described as a religious responsibility that cannot be ignored.
Iran’s religious expert group has issued 10 religious duties for Iranians. One of these duties includes the assassination of Trump and Netanyahu. These duties have been issued before the funeral of the Supreme Leader.
Other 9 duties are as follows-
- To protect the supreme religious leadership (Wilayat-e-Faqih).
- To oppose those who threaten against him.
- Maintaining Islamic unity.
- Supporting religious leadership.
- To cooperate economically and socially.
- To create publicity and public awareness.
- To follow religious orders.
- To remain united against the opponents.
- To consider this as the religious duty of every Muslim.

Meanwhile, Iran’s leading newspaper Hamshahri published a picture of Donald Trump taking aim with a rifle on its front page. There was a big headline with it – “Revenge is certain.” It was written in the newspaper that avenging the blood of Iran’s martyred leaders and those killed is one of the biggest demands of the public. However, more than a quarter of the members of the Assembly did not sign the statement and according to reports, the Assembly Secretariat distanced itself from the statement after a few hours.
