Patna Civil Court has stayed the arrest of Khan Global Studies director Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir on Tuesday till further orders. While the bail plea of Roshan Anand, director of rival Gyan Bindu Coaching, was rejected. Right now he will have to remain in jail. He was arrested in connection with the ongoing dispute between two coaching institutes in Patna.
Faisal Khan’s name is registered in the FIR, which is related to the firing incident that took place in Patna last week, in which his security personnel are accused of firing. The firing incident took place when some anti-social elements had allegedly vandalized Khan sir’s coaching institute.
What is the reason for Roshan Anand’s arrest?
Whereas Gyan Bindu’s director Anand has been arrested in connection with the attack on a coaching institute run by Khan sir. Police say that a group of 15 to 20 people allegedly vandalized the campus of Khan Global Studies Institute on the night of June 2 and also threw stones at the centre, causing significant damage to property. Along with Anand, Abhishek Kumar and Gaurav Kumar were also arrested in the case on June 3.
An FIR was registered against these accused under various sections of BNS at Kadamkuan police station in Patna. During the hearing in the court, Anand’s lawyer said that Section 109 does not apply in this case because the victims have suffered minor injuries. All the sections registered in this case are bailable. The allegations against him are baseless and he is innocent. But the court did not grant him bail.
Demonstration regarding Anand’s release
However, demonstrations are being held in Patna regarding the release of Anand from another coaching centre. Students supporting him announced a “protest march” in Patna demanding his immediate release. It is expected that in the next few days, protesters will take to the streets and allege that Anand has been unfairly targeted.
The attack on Khan sir’s coaching center in Mussallahpur Haat area of Patna on June 2 turned into a big controversy in the coaching sector. The issue became much discussed on social media and among students. On Thursday last week, the police detained two security guards associated with Khan sir’s coaching institute. He is accused of firing during the incident of June 2.
Faisal Khan’s arrest stayed
On the other hand, the arrest of Faisal Khan has been stayed by the court. Khan sir’s lawyer Arvind Kumar Mauar said, “The court has stayed his arrest till further orders. It has directed to present the case diary and background at the next hearing.” Faisal Khan had filed a petition for anticipatory bail on Monday the day before yesterday.
Mauar said, “All the information has been placed before the court as per the law. After examining the case diary, the court is expected to pass the final order. However, the date of the next hearing has not been decided yet.” He told that after hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court said that no further action will be taken against Khan. Now in this entire matter, there will be a debate on the diary given by the police on the next date, after which the order of the court will be seen.
