Along with South, his popularity is also popular in Bollywood. Kamal Haasan made his debut in Hindi films with ‘Aaina’ in 1974, but he got real recognition in Bollywood from the romantic tragedy film ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. After this, Kamal worked in many Hindi films and cemented his place in the industry. Later she worked with Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan in ‘Girftaar’ which was released in 1985. Rajinikanth also had a cameo role in this film. But before ‘Girftaar’, both these big stars were going to work in a film named ‘Khabardaar’. But this film was suddenly stopped, behind which many reasons are given.
Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan His first film was not going to be ‘Girftaar’ but ‘Khabardaar’. But something happened that things could not work out and the film got shelved. Tatineni Rama Rao was going to direct this film named ‘Khabardaar’ and Ataluri Purnachandra Rao was going to produce it.
Story of closure of ‘Khabardaar’
According to the report of Mid-Day, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan were going to be in the film ‘Khabardaar’, which was based on euthanasia (euthanasia) and in this, Amitabh played the role of a doctor and Kamal played the role of a patient. However, the production of ‘Khabardaar’ was stopped midway, due to which the film was shelved. In a 1997 interview, Kamal Haasan talked about this project and explained why it was abandoned. The actor said, “I think it was to be titled ‘Kanoon ke Katghar Mein’. I probably shot for 20-25 days for it. T. Rama Rao was directing it, so I think more than half of the film was completed. Most of my part was completed, then something happened… I was told that the makers did not like the film. Since I had already received half of my fee, I said, ‘Okay.’ Four years ago, he wanted to restart the project. But now my face is different and I am a different actor. “I would no longer like to work on the same acting or story as I did a few years ago.”

Amitabh Bachchan got the film stopped?
After some time, famous filmmaker-actor K. Bhagyaraj had made a shocking claim about this project that this film was canned because Amitabh Bachchan felt that Kamal’s character would overshadow his character. The filmmaker said in an interview, “They had shot the film at 10,000 feet, but then a problem arose. According to the script, Kamal Haasan’s character was to die. The story would have been effective only if Kamal’s character had died. However, if that had happened, Amitabh Bachchan’s character would have looked trivial and all the credit would have gone to Kamal. If he had changed the story and kept Kamal alive, the film would not have had the same impact and probably would not have been a hit.”
Big B did not want to spoil the image
Of. Bhagyaraj further said, “It was clear that if Kamal’s character had died, the film would have been a hit, but Amitabh would not have got much recognition. Understanding this, Amitabh said to the makers, ‘Forgive me.’ He said that he did not want to spoil the reputation he had built over so many years just for one film. He did not want to risk his long career. Then Amitabh Bachchan asked Purnachandra Rao to bring some other project. Although Amitabh wanted the film to be a hit, he did not want his name to be tarnished after working so hard in his career. In this way, finally this project was abandoned and this film was locked.”
