Karuppu: Surya’s ‘Karuppu’ rocks the box office, reaches close to Rs 250 crore on 11th day, second Monday also shines

Karuppu: It has been 11 days since the release of South Superstar Surya’s ‘Karuppu’. Everyone is waiting for the 12th day collection. The film is continuously earning well. Now finally the Bhaukaal of Surya and Trisha Krishnan’s film is being seen. The collection of the film has fallen by 60 percent compared to the previous day. Also, till now ‘Karuppu’ has earned Rs 68 crores only from overseas. At the same time, a business of Rs 1 crore was done on the second Monday. The film has so far collected Rs 247.15 crore worldwide. Also, it is continuously earning more than Rs 5 crore from India, which is a positive sign for the makers. If business continues like this, it will soon touch the figure of Rs 300 crore.

According to SACNILC report, Surya That ‘Karuppu’ has done a business of Rs 5.90 crore. Where the total number of shows has been 4,457. At the same time, the occupancy has reached 26.6 percent. Actually in Tamil the film has done a business of Rs 4.90 crore on the 11th day. Also, Rs 1 crore has been collected from Telugu. In such a situation, the film has done a total business of Rs 154.75 crore from India till now. This is also the biggest achievement for the film. Actually the film has crossed Rs 150 crore from India itself.

When did ‘Karuppu’ have the lowest collection?

Actually ‘Karuppu’ has made a total gross collection of Rs 179.15 crore. At the same time, on the 11th day the film has earned a total of Rs 5.90 crore from India. But when it was the first day of this film, the earning started from Rs 15.50 crore. There was business of Rs 24.15 crore on the second day, Rs 28.35 crore on the third day, Rs 14.30 crore on the fourth day and Rs 12.75 crore on the fifth day. Also on the sixth day it earned Rs 10.70 crores, on the seventh day it earned Rs 8.10 crores and on the eighth day it earned Rs 7.80 crores. Even on last Saturday the film had done a business of Rs 12.45 crores and on Sunday it had done a business of Rs 14.75 crores.

Surya’s film had the highest earning on the third day, when the business was more than Rs 28 crore. At the same time, even on the 11th day, more than Rs 5 crores have been earned. If the picture makes good collections in these week days also, then 300 crores is not far away.

Surya’s biggest film?

‘Karuppu’ has become Suriya’s biggest film till date in terms of box office collection and worldwide success. Which has already crossed the mark of Rs 200 crore. How much profit the film has made can be gauged from the fact that the budget of the picture was only Rs 35 crores.
