There this song combined with local music gave birth to a new genre, which is today called ‘Chutney Music’. Which is now visible in Bollywood films also.

This song was first presented by internationally known famous singer Sunder Popo in his own style in 1969. He gave a new look to Bhojpuri folk tune by mixing it with Caribbean pop and folk music. After this, Babla and Kanchan recreated it in 1982, which became quite popular. With time many versions of this song emerged. In the year 1994, its tune was used in the film ‘Ghar Ki Izzat’. However, the lyrics of the song were different.
