Salman Khan became a part of controversies for the first time during the shooting of the 1998 film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. He was accused of hunting black buck with the cast of the film during the shooting in Rajasthan. According to the FIR, he was accused of hunting 3 black bucks and 2 chinkaras on different days. He has also served his sentence in this case. Bishnoi community of Rajasthan is known for protecting nature and animals. He considers the black deer to be the reincarnation of his Guru Jambheshwar and is revered. Bishnoi community believes that Salman should apologize to them for this act, and on the same lines, gangster Lawrence has been threatening to kill Salman for some time.

Salman Khan himself had revealed this in an old interview. He told what had happened that night. According to Salman- ‘On the 9th, we were shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain. The shooting of the film was going on in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The police came and took all of us away. Tabu, Sonali and Neelam were also included in it. We all went to jail. But still don’t know for what reason. Even in the first post-mortem report, there was no mention of the blackbuck being killed. There were clear details in that report regarding the blood stains on the gypsy. The truth is that we had not gone anywhere. Was on the shooting set only. This is not a case at all.
What happened on the basis of FIR and charge sheet?
If reports are to be believed, some people go hunting late at night in Bhavat, Rajasthan. They go out in gypsies with guns and hunt blackbuck. Hunting of black deer is banned and black deer is revered in Bishnoi society. According to the FIR, two blackbucks were killed that day. After 2 days again a black buck was hunted. During this time too, some people in gypsy had gone out on hunting. A few days later, the sound of gunshot was again heard in a village in Rajasthan. But on this day, the local people nearby became alert due to the sound of the gunshot and chased them in the direction from where the sound had come. One of these people told in his statement that that day he had seen some people including Salman Khan inside the gypsy. The person could recognize only Salman Khan among the people sitting in the gypsy because he had seen Salman Khan’s films.
This was the occasion when Salman Khan’s name first came up in this case. And for the first time, Forest Department people arrested Salman Khan in this case. In this case, he was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment. Since then, Salman Khan has been interrogated several times in this matter and he has gone to Jodhpur several times in this connection. He has been to jail four times on different occasions in a span of 20 years. Last time he went to jail for 2 days in this case in the year 2018.
Salman was punished
Salman Khan was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment in this case, which was suspended by the High Court after Salman Khan’s appeal. But after this an appeal was made in the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court. Salman had to spend a few days in Jodhpur jail, but later he got bail. At present, no decision has been given in this matter yet. The reason for delay in this case is being said to be the high profile of this case and the arrival of Corona period in between. In such a situation, the issue of threats being received by Salman Khan from Lawrence Bishnoi or Bishnoi community is different, this case of Salman Khan is still stuck in the court and the next hearing of the court is awaited. The matter will move forward when the result comes from the court.

The producer of the film Black Deer is Amit Jani, who recently told about this film. According to the news of Filmfare, Jani said – The story of this film will be based on the killing of black buck in Kakani village of Jodhpur in 1998, the uproar over this incident and Salman’s enmity with Lawrence. Further, the producer said – Along with Salman, actors like Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, the punishment given to Salman and other things will also be shown in detail in the film. The teaser of the film will be released on June 20.
