Monthly Durgashtami Puja Auspicious time (Jyeshtha Masik Durgashtami 2026 Puja Subh Muhurat)
Today on monthly Durgashtami, Maa Durga can be worshiped in Abhijit Muhurta and Sandhya Muhurta. Today Abhijit Muhurta will start at 11.55 am. This auspicious time of puja will last till 12:51 pm. Apart from this, the evening time of worship of Maa will start at 07.22 in the evening. This auspicious time will last till 08:22 pm. Apart from this, the puja was in an auspicious time, Brahma Muhurta, which started from 04:04 am in the morning and continued till 04:44 am.
Monthly Durgashtami Puja Vidhi (Jyeshtha Masik Durgashtami Puja Vidhi)
- Wake up early in the morning of Jyeshtha monthly Durga Ashtami and take bath. Then wear red clothes.
- After this, spread a red colored cloth on the stool in the temple of the house and place the idol or picture of Maa Durga on it.
- Light a ghee lamp, offer fruits, flowers, sandalwood, Akshat, perfume, Roli to Mata Rani.
- Offer red colored clothes, sixteen adornments, fruits and sweets etc. to the mother.
- Chant the mantras of Maa Durga.
- Read or listen to the story of monthly Durga Ashtami fast.
- Finally conclude the puja by performing aarti.
- Ask for forgiveness for the mistakes made in fasting and worship knowingly or unknowingly.
- Then distribute the Prasad to everyone and eat the Prasad yourself.
