The entire opposition is continuously targeting the state and central government in the case of theft of Ram temple offerings. Meanwhile, the statement of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has come to light. He has demanded a fair investigation into this scam and strict action against the culprits. Along with this, he also raised questions on the silence of the government. He said that those doing politics in the name of Lord Ram should now answer.
Raj Thackeray has shared a long post on social media, in which he demanded to make public the complete account of donations and jewelery of the devotees. He said that public trust has been hurt by this scam, hence those responsible should be given strict punishment. He also said that mere clear intentions will not suffice but action should also be visible. He said that Ram Mandir is not a symbol of any one party, but of the faith of crores of Hindus, sages, saints and kar sevaks.
‘Accounts of donations are not being maintained’
In his post, the MNS chief said, ‘No concrete account of donations deposited in the Hundi of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, cash given by devotees, jewelery and other valuable items is being maintained and there is a clear suspicion of irregularities and embezzlement in it. The SIT, which is investigating this entire matter, has also confirmed this in its preliminary report and some accused have also been arrested.
Questions raised on government’s silence
Questioning the silence of the ruling party, Raj Thackeray said that no BJP minister has said anything about this scam, all are silent. He asked, ‘Those who reach the throne of power in the name of Lord Shri Ram, do they not feel anything about this embezzlement? Have they become used to doing politics of bringing MPs, MLAs and officials of other parties to their side, or has their mind become so hardened that even the loot of donations from devotees does not perturb them? Or in the Lok Sabha constituency where Ayodhya falls, the people rejected BJP in 2024, hence Lord Ram is being sent into exile once again?’
‘Ram Mandir movement was not of any one organization’
He further said that when Ram temple was built in Ayodhya, crores of Hindus of this country were extremely happy. He said that everyone cooperated in the movement for Ram temple. Countless Kar Sevaks also sacrificed their lives. He said that this movement was not of any one organization nor was it only of BJP. He said that a large number of Shiv Sainiks were also involved in this. He said that the thought of taking the credit for this movement for Hindu renaissance alone did not come to the mind of any leader at that time, not even in the mind of Balasaheb.
He said that the Ram temple of Ayodhya belongs to crores of Hindus, saints and kar sevaks of this country. He said that when people here offer money, gold, jewelery or other donations with devotion and faith, that money has the fragrance of the sweat of their hard work and is covered with faith. He said that our donations given with devotion instead of going to God go into the pockets and stomachs of the trustees and priests, this incident must have once again made the devotees understand. He said that worship the Gods and Goddesses, but do not worship these trustees and those who do politics through this path and do not give any kind of donation in their hands.
‘There is a struggle going on in BJP regarding who will come next’
Raj Thackeray said that there are assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh next year. At that time, opponents of Yogi Adityanath will definitely raise this issue. This will naturally put him under siege, he will suffer some political loss and his ambitions of becoming the Prime Minister will also be curbed. He said that at present the internal conflict going on in BJP regarding who will lead next, its effects can be seen anywhere, be it the disunity between MPs and MLAs or the issue of temples.
‘Amit Shah busy in breaking opposition parties’
He said that the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah is currently busy in vague dreams of how to break the opposition parties and how to reach the post of Prime Minister as soon as possible, hence what is happening in the house of Lord Ram has no importance for him.
The culprits should get strict punishment
He said that the Hindu society must be held accountable for the harm that has been done to the faith of the people. He said that those who have been negligent in this entire matter should be given the harshest punishment. He said that mere clear intentions will not suffice but this should be visible in actions.
