
Junior Artist Sanjib Singh Dies: Junior artist Sanjeeb Singh, who worked in the TV serial ‘Aarambhi’, reportedly died of a heart attack. 51 year old Sanjeeb was returning home after shooting a TV serial on Sunday, but on the way, his health deteriorated at a petrol pump and he could not be saved. Ashok Dubey, General Secretary of Film Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) gave this information. Junior artist Sanjeeb was a resident of Kolkata. He has a brother and a sister in his family, who live in Kolkata.
Ashok Dubey told that Sanjib Singh used to work in a TV show named ‘Aarambhi’. Its shooting takes place in SJ Studio located in Sakinaka area. Sanjeeb’s shift used to start at 2 in the afternoon and he used to work till 3 in the night till the shoot ended. During the shooting, Sanjeeb told that he was not well and he took a short break. After packing up, he left for home on his bike. During this time, he stopped at a petrol pump to fill petrol, where he became unconscious. It is believed that he had a heart attack.
Sanjib Singh’s sister divorced, brother ill
Sanjeeb was not married and has a sister and brother. He was working in the industry for about 30 years. Ashok Dubey told that Sanjib’s sister is divorced and his brother remains ill. He also said that Sanjeeb’s post-mortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital before his body was sent to Kolkata via cargo plane for cremation. FWICE He also helped the family financially.
Appealed to the producer to help the family
Ashok Dubey told that he has appealed to the representative of the show’s producer Malhar Creations to help the family of the junior artist. He said that it is the responsibility of the production house to take care of the employees during work-related travel. He also told that Junior Artists Supplier Ravindra Suri has assured the Federation that every possible help will be provided.
Sanjib Singh had recently won the union elections and was elected to the Junior Artists Committee. He said that the official cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. FWICE will write a letter to the production house for compensation in the case of Sanjib Singh’s death.
