At least 4 Gulf countries have clearly told America that they are not in favor of war with Iran. These countries say that if Iran stops the war by taking money then they are ready for it. This report has been published by the Financial Times quoting sources related to the agreement. It has been said that 4 Gulf countries are ready to give 200 billion dollars to Iran with immediate effect. So that the expansion of war in the Gulf can be prevented.
According to American outlet Axios, on Wednesday the Saudi Defense Minister met US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in Washington. Saudi Defense Minister said that we do not want to escalate the war with Iran.
Apart from Saudi, UAE, Oman and Qatar are in favor of peace. Qatar is officially playing the role of mediator.
Gulf countries ready to give money to Iran
Countries like Oman, Qatar, UAE and Saudi do not want war with Iran. For this, these countries want a large-scale agreement. These countries want to give an amount of 200 billion dollars to Iran initially, so that the system of Hormuz can run smoothly.
These countries have advocated for lifting the sanctions on Iran. UAE has proposed that if Iran stops the war then 20 thousand of its citizens will be given jobs in Dubai.
Similarly, Oman has also proposed that if Iran does not attack ships passing through its border, then Iranian tankers in the Gulf of Oman will also not be targeted.
Question- Why are these countries in favor of peace?
Due to the war with Iran, the oil business of these countries has come to a standstill. Last time, despite the war, Saudi was doing oil business through the Red Sea, but this time the Houthi rebels have laid siege to the Red Sea. Apart from this, Kataib and Houthi are attacking Saudi simultaneously.
Saudi Arabia’s oil plants are the target of both these organizations. Similarly, UAE is also not able to do oil business due to war. Qatar’s gas supply is at a standstill due to the closure of Hormuz.
