It has been almost 18 years since this show was streamed. The role of Jethalal is everyone’s favorite. A few days ago there were discussions that his screen timing in the show may be reduced or he may leave the show. Now actor Dilip Joshi, who played the role of Jetha Lal, has broken his silence regarding this.
From Babita ji to journalist Popatlal Pandey, the comic timing of every character is amazing. Many new faces also joined the show and some old faces said goodbye to the show. Fans were quite upset with Jethalal leaving the show. At present, Dilip Joshi has clarified everything and termed it as just a rumour.

While talking during a conference, actor Dilip Joshi said, “Nowadays people publish all kinds of fabricated stories to get views. I request all the news agencies and media organizations that before publishing or printing anything, please confirm with the production house or the person associated with it whether something is really true or false.”

Dilip Joshi also talked about the wonderful journey of the show. He said that he is very happy to be a part of this show which is entertaining the audience even after so many years. Along with this, he further said, “For a comedy show to run for 18 years is incredible in itself and we have completed more than 4,750 episodes of it. I am thankful to God that even today we are all shooting with the same zeal and excitement and trying to make people laugh.”
Along with this, actor Dilip Joshi also praised producer Asit Kumar Modi and the writers for keeping Taarak Mehta new. He said, “It is not easy to keep creating new stories and episodes on new subjects for so many years. Asit Bhai and the entire writing team work very hard for this and they are really doing a wonderful job and deserve praise.”
