Virat Kohli’s bat worked, Shreyas Iyer’s bat worked but Team India could score only 233 runs. After getting a good start in Cardiff, Team India played so poorly that it collapsed in just 44 overs. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries in the match but Jasprit Bumrah, who scored unbeaten 20 runs, stole the show with his batting. Jasprit Bumrah scored runs at a strike rate of more than 150 in Cardiff. He hit 3 fours and a six in the same over and thus made his best score in ODI cricket in the same over.
Whom did Jasprit Bumrah beat?
Jasprit Bumrah Showed the power of his bat in the 43rd over. He hit three fours in the over of England fast bowler Saqib Mahmood and after that he scored 18 runs in this over by hitting a six on the last ball. Everyone was surprised to see Bumrah’s batting. Bumrah is generally known for bowling but this player has also shown his batting prowess on the pitches of England.
Bumrah had scored 35 runs in one over of Stuart Broad in the Edgbaston Test on the England tour in the year 2022. This is the most expensive over in Test history. Bumrah had scored 29 runs with his bat in this over of Broad. Bumrah had hit four fours and 2 sixes in Broad’s over. Now once again Bumrah has shown the power of his bat.

Team India’s very poor performance in Cardiff
The Indian team had a great start in the Cardiff ODI. Captain Shubman Gill batted fast and took the team to 44 runs. Although Gill was out on 31 runs, but after this Virat Kohli took control of the team by scoring 65 runs and Shreyas Iyer scored 66 runs. It seemed that Team India would cross 300 but after the 30th over the whole game changed. After Virat Kohli’s dismissal, Team India’s innings fell apart like a pack of cards. India lost 7 wickets for just 55 runs and Team India, which was on the front foot, suddenly went on the back foot.
