Jaspal Rana Passed Away: India’s greatest pistol shooter and the country’s legendary shooting coach Jaspal Rana is no more with us. His sudden demise during treatment in a hospital in Delhi after his health deteriorated on foreign soil is a deep shock for the entire country and the sports world. Jaspal Rana had gone with the Indian shooting team to participate in the World Cup going on in Munich, Germany. From there he returned to India on June 1. A few hours after his return to his country, his health deteriorated significantly, after which he was immediately admitted to Max Hospital in Saket, Delhi. He underwent surgery in the hospital and doctors also placed a stent, which was successful. Soon he was to have a second stent inserted, but in the meantime destiny had something else in store.

How did Jaspal Rana die?

After the death of Jaspal Rana, a big statement has come out from Dr. Balbir Singh, Group Chairman of Cardiac Sciences and Chief of Interventional Cardiology of Max Super Specialty Hospital. He told that when Jaspal Rana was brought to the hospital, his condition was very critical. According to Dr. Balbir Singh, ‘When Jaspal Rana reached the hospital, he had suffered a serious heart attack, which was about three days old. He was traveling continuously and even during this time he was having constant pain in his chest, which he ignored.

He further said, ‘On reaching the hospital, the investigation revealed that the main artery due to which he had a heart attack was completely blocked. Due to late treatment, the pumping capacity of his heart had become very weak and he had reached the stage of heart failure.

Accident happened while sleeping after recovery

Dr. Singh said that in patients who reach the hospital long after a heart attack, the risk of serious complications like ‘cardiac rupture’ increases, which can lead to sudden death. However, after treatment, Rana’s health had improved significantly and he was to be discharged from the hospital today. But unfortunately, he suddenly suffered ‘cardiac rupture’ while sleeping, due to which he died.
