
Japan’s first woman Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has been welcomed with grandeur and gaiety by PM Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Takaichi has come from Japan to visit India for the first time. Here she will attend the 16th annual function of India. After the ceremony, the Prime Ministers of both the countries introduced their respected ministers and their delegations. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister of Japan will be on a three-day visit to India and during this time she will attend the 16th annual function of India and Japan.
There will be strength between Delhi and Tokyo
Earlier on Wednesday, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had welcomed the Japanese PM and also described this visit as an important step for the global partnership and a special strategy between Delhi and Tokyo. Posting on Twitter, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the whole of India warmly welcomes the Japanese PM, who has come to Delhi for an official visit. Last Wednesday, in a similar manner, State Minister Jitendra Singh also gave a grand welcome to Takaichi.

Which areas will be discussed?
This visit is being considered as an important step between India and Japan in the coming times which will further strengthen the special strategic and global partnership. During these three-day visit, both the countries will deepen economic security cooperation and there will also be discussions on supplies, new technology, defense system, maritime security and investment.
Addressing a joint press conference after the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, Takaichi said the two countries should use their respective strengths to become stronger and more prosperous together, especially at a time when uncertainty is increasing in the world. He said the two leaders were on the same page on many strategic issues and agreed to prioritize three key areas of cooperation, including deepening strategic ties. Japan’s updated ‘Free and Open Indo-Pacific’ (FOIP) vision is largely in line with Prime Minister Modi’s ‘MAHASAGAR’ initiative, he said Takaichi said the two countries will strengthen maritime security cooperation and work together to promote peace, stability and rules-based order in the entire Indo-Pacific region.
