
Diplomatic tension between India and America has increased over the death of Indian sailors in US Navy action. Let us tell you that three Indian sailors died in this incident, after which India lodged a strong protest. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar spoke to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and expressed strong protest over the US Navy attacks in the Gulf in which three Indian sailors were killed.
Jaishankar said in a post on ‘X’ about his conversation with Rubio, such lethal action against commercial shipping is not right. This week, three ships with Indian crew were attacked off the coast of Oman. Three Indian sailors died in one of these attacks on Wednesday.
Strong protest expressed over the death of Indian sailors
Jaishankar said that he spoke to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday evening. I reiterated India’s strong protest over the death of three Indian sailors in US Navy strikes in the Gulf. India summoned the ChargĂ© d’Affaires (acting chief) of the US Embassy in New Delhi to register its protest on this matter.
Accused of carrying out drone attacks on Indian ships
Earlier, US President Donald Trump accused Iran of carrying out drone attacks on Indian ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and said that this is not acceptable at all. Trump claimed in a post on ‘Truth Social’ that their (Iran’s) drone attack on Indian ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz is not acceptable at all. They should mend their ways as soon as possible.
