Jailer 2: Everyone is eagerly waiting for Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor 2’. The first part of this film also got a great response from the audience. But the makers still seem confused about the release date. Earlier it was said that everything would be clear after Shahrukh Khan’s cameo shoot, then it was found out that he would not be a part of the film. Well, now there is news of Hrithik’s entry for that cameo. But the new update revealed that ‘Jailer 2’ is being planned to be released in Diwali 2026. If this happens, there will be a clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’ because it is a pan India film.
Recently a report of ‘Valai Pechu’ came out which revealed that Rajinikanth Preparations are underway to release ‘Jailor 2’ in Diwali 2026. Earlier it was expected that the film would hit the theaters around Independence Day. However, this discussion did not stop here. Then it was said that it can also be released in September 2026. But now it seems that the makers have thought of keeping its release in the festive season. This is the reason why planning for Diwali is going on.
Direct clash with Ranbir’s ‘Ramayana’
Actually Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayan is also coming on Diwali. It was announced a year ago and the work has also been completed. Many actors are working together in Nitish Tiwari’s film. Even Namit Malhotra has said the budget of the film to be Rs 4000 crore. If Ramayan clashes with Jailer 2, Ranbir Kapoor will suffer loss. Because Rajinikanth has a strong fan following in the South. His fan base is unique, who come to theaters in droves for his films. However, the South Superstar may also suffer some loss. It remains to be seen whether the planning will be taken forward or some changes will be made in it.
This film is coming on Diwali
Silambarasan TR’s film ‘Arasan’, directed by Vetrimaran, is also scheduled to be released during Diwali. In such a situation, if Rajinikanth’s film Jailer 2 is also released around the same date, then there will be three clashes at the box office. Which will harm every film.
Let us tell you that Nelson Dilip Kumar is making ‘Jailor 2’, which is a sequel. Rajinikanth will once again take forward the story of Muthuvel Pandian which remained incomplete in the first part.
