Delhi’s Rohini Court has granted 4 hours of custodial parole on Wednesday (July 1), giving relief to jailed gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi on humanitarian grounds. The court has given him custodial parole of 4 hours to meet his wife and newborn twins.
Kala Jathedi will be able to meet his wife Anuradha Chaudhary and newborn twin daughters under tight police security.
According to the information, Kala Jathedi’s wife Anuradha Chaudhary has given birth to twin daughters on Tuesday (30 June). Kala Jathedi had sought permission to meet his wife and children. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. Kala Jathedi will be taken to Gurugram on Wednesday (July 1), where his wife is admitted in a hospital.
Wife gave birth to twin girls
Advocate Rohit Kumar Dalal had filed a parole petition on behalf of Kala Jathedi. It was told in the petition that the pregnancy of the accused’s wife had occurred through IVF process, the permission of which had already been given by the competent court. It was also told that recently the woman had to undergo cesarean delivery due to medical emergency, after which she gave birth to twins.
Mother and newborn under the care of doctors
Anuradha Chaudhary’s health deteriorated during delivery. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the court sought immediate verification report from the concerned authorities. The report confirmed that the accused’s wife has given birth to twins and is currently under medical observation, while both the newborns are also under the care of doctors.
Court gave 4 hours time
Keeping these circumstances in mind, the court ordered on humanitarian grounds that Sandeep alias Kala Jatheri be kept in custody for four hours on July 1, 2026 and allowed to meet his wife and doctors. This meeting will be held amidst tight security arrangements. The court said in its order that this decision has been taken on humanitarian grounds, in which importance has been given to family relations and human dignity. However, this relief is for a limited period and the accused will remain in complete police custody.
Advocate Rohit Kumar Dalal argued in the court that this is an extraordinary case, where the marriage, the IVF process and the birth of the child all took place under judicial supervision. In such a situation, this parole is a continuation of the same humanitarian approach. The court made it clear that this relief has been given completely on humanitarian grounds. This will not have any impact on the criminal case pending against him or the hearing pending in the court.
