Tension between Iran and America has increased once again. Iran has claimed that it fired 10 ballistic missiles at Jordan’s Al-Azraq military airbase. This airbase belongs to Jordan, but it is also used by the American Army. Iran says that this attack was carried out in response to America’s recent military action. At the same time, the Jordanian army says that its air defense system shot down most of the missiles on the way, so there was no major damage.

According to Reuters report, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) said that it fired 10 ballistic missiles targeting Jordan’s Al-Azraq air base. Iran claims that this base is used by the American army. On the other hand, Jordan said that its army destroyed most of the missiles in the air. Some missile debris fell on the ground, but there was no news of anyone being injured or suffering major damage.

It further says that ‘if terrorist American forces repeat their aggression, other American bases located in the area will not be safe from our heavy fire.’ Al-Azraq Air Base is an important military base of Jordan. Along with the Jordanian Air Force, the American Army also conducts its operations here. For this reason Iran targeted it.
